Sunday Morning Volunteer Opportunities
It takes a huge team of volunteers for Sunday Mornings to run smoothly. Check out the info below for all the ways you could help serve. Call the church office, email us, or fill out our Get Involved Form under the Forms tab.
The Greeting Team has one purpose: to make you feel welcome. If you have a friendly smile and a servant's heart, this may be the place for you. People usually decide within the first 7-10 minutes whether they are coming back. Joyful greeters have a very important job.
First Impressions Team
The First Impressions Team seeks out those who are visiting with us for the first time and help them to feel "very important." They answer questions newcomers might have about children's programs, location of rooms or ministries, etc. They also seek to get names, addresses, phone #, and prayer concerns from our first-time visitors. The First Impressions Team make others feel like part of the family - even though it's their first time here. This vital ministry requires you to be able to talk to strangers - but is well worth the effort. They will look for your smiling face the next time they come.
Our Welcome Center is the place to go for information about CCC. They have a good handle on what's going on and know who to ask if they don't. If you enjoy talking and helping people - this could be a place for you.
Communion Preparation is an important job that takes place before, between and after our services. This team prepares the communion to be served and takes it to the places it needs to go. They then clean up the trays after service. If you're looking for a vital, behind-the-scenes ministry, this could be the place for you.
One of the focal points of our worship service is remembering Jesus' sacrifice on the cross each and every week. Each team of 8 is scheduled to serve once a month, for either the 9:30 or 11:00 am service. This requires no talking, just a steady hand and servant's heart.
Our Café is a place of fellowship at CCC. It's a perfect place for friends to sit down over a cup of coffee and snack to catch up on each other's lives. It's also a place to meet new friends as well. The person running the Café is responsible for opening it and making sure the snacks and coffee are available for everyone. It's a great opportunity to get to know others and a huge blessing to everyone.
